About Civins Productions

Civins Productions started as a film and video production company in 1984 under the leadership of Gary Civins. Gary has officially been a visual communications professional since 1976, upon earning his Masters In Fine Arts from the renown NYU Film School (he received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the University of Connecticut with an emphasis in theater and communications). But his passion and eye for visual aesthetics goes back to his early childhood when in kindergarten, Gary strongly objected to his teacher that he was bored with being shown in black and white, motionless film strips instead of color with movement!

Early in his career, Gary worked as a production manager/producer and director in New York City for Michael Robert Productions. Then moved to South Florida to work with Video Tape Associates (VTA) producing and directing all sized projects from single camera TV commercials to 6 camera live international events like concerts, sports, and corporate meetings incorporating satellite distribution and back-hauls ( off-continent camera sources).

In 1984 he formed Civins Productions with the focus on supporting the needs of the corporate media environment. Since then, he has performed the roles of executive producer, producer-director, writer and video editor on countless local, regional, national and international based business productions. These have included broadcast commercials, training packages, marketing tools, infomercials, Video News Releases (VNRs), and live video conferences. He has won a long list of award recognizing his work including Emmys, Addys and ACE Awards.

While awards are important, Gary counts his most important reward is being listed on the speed dial of his many clients that include Fortune 500 companies as well as local enterprises.
